Wartime
Goofy demonstrates increasingly absurd alternatives to the motor car during wartime fuel shortages, ending with the pogo stick. It is the most purely entertaining of Disney's home-front films because it is a comedy first — the rationing is the setup, not the sermon — and the pogo-stick song sequence became genuinely popular.
A 1943 short about petrol and rubber rationing; the war is the whole premise.
