Tot Watchers
The lady of the house has gone out for a few hours, leaving her baby in the care of a stereotypical 1950s teenager, who immediately begins calling her friends. Tom and Jerry must call a truce to their constant chases as the baby, unsupervised, continually gets loose. When the baby escapes out the front door, Tom and Jerry chase it to a construction site, where they frantically try to keep it from harm.
The last Tom and Jerry short made by Hanna and Barbera at MGM. The studio closed its animation department shortly afterwards, ending an eighteen-year run of over a hundred films and sending its two directors off to found the television studio that would define the next twenty years of American animation. Fittingly, it is a baby-in-peril short — one of the formats they had made their own — and Tom and Jerry end it arrested together.
