Winner of the Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoons). There is barely a story — three kittens get into a house and wreck it — and that is the point: the film won on the strength of its animal animation alone. The kittens move like real kittens while remaining entirely expressive, which was a very hard problem in 1935 and is still hard now.
