Jerry falls into invisible ink and spends the short tormenting a cat who cannot see what is hitting him. It is a gift of a premise for animation — every reaction has to carry the whole gag — and Tom's slow slide from confusion into genuine terror is beautifully judged. One of the most enjoyable in the series.
