The definitive version of the summonable-Spike premise: Jerry can whistle for a bulldog at any moment, and spends the short abusing that power spectacularly. The whistle gag structure is close to perfect — every time Tom thinks he has won, the audience already knows what is coming — and the ending, when the whistle fails, is beautifully set up.
