One of the most-quoted shorts in the series and the source of some of its most reused animation — Tom's serenade with a double bass was recycled by MGM for years afterwards. Tom is at his most confident and most ridiculous here, and unleashing Spike on him is the ideal punishment. A genuine crowd-pleaser.
