One of the best Silly Symphonies: a Romeo and Juliet story between the Land of Symphony and the Isle of Jazz, fought out as an artillery duel between orchestral and jazz instruments. The whole thing is told without a word of dialogue, purely through music, and the idea that two musical styles could be at war was a live cultural argument in 1935 rather than a whimsy.
