Hooked Bear

Humphrey the bear isn’t having much luck with his fishing; every time he catches some nice fish, he gets distracted and drops them. So he goes after the catches of the local anglers instead. But ranger Woodlore frowns on this, insisting the bear fish like one.

Humphrey against the fishing season, with Ranger Woodlore refereeing. The park shorts were the last successful new format Disney developed for theatrical release before television took the business over, and their unhurried, almost gentle rhythm is unmistakably late-period.
