Landmark
The last episode of the series. DuckTales ran for a hundred episodes plus a feature film and changed the economics of television animation permanently — it proved that a studio could spend real money on a weekday cartoon and get it back, and the whole Disney Afternoon block, from Rescue Rangers through Darkwing Duck to Gargoyles, exists because this show worked. It ends, appropriately, on Scrooge choosing his nephews over gold, which is the only ending the series was ever going to have.
