DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp was released to cinemas in 1990 and was the first film from Disney's newly created feature-animation offshoot — the studio's attempt to make theatrical films outside its main animation department. It did modest business and the unit was eventually folded into Disney's direct-to-video operation, which went on to make a great many sequels. As a film it is genuinely good: full theatrical animation, a real villain in Merlock, and a scale the series could never afford. Easily the best-looking thing in this collection. (The filename here reads 'Lost Tramp' — that is a transcription error somewhere upstream; the film is Treasure of the Lost Lamp.)
