A leprechaun and a very great deal of gold, in a country where neither is as simple as it looks.

The Irish episode is a companion piece to the Scottish ones, and both come from the same instinct: Scrooge's world is built on old European folklore filtered through American adventure comics. Barks did it first and the show simply continued the habit.
