Adapted from one of Carl Barks's best-known Uncle Scrooge adventures. The original is unusually dark for a 1950s Disney comic — the harpies intend to eat their guests, and Barks does not soften it much — and the episode keeps a surprising amount of that edge. A good demonstration that the source material was never as gentle as its reputation.
The harpies are genuinely menacing and the cooking-pot jeopardy is played fairly straight.
