Nominated for the Academy Award. Tom's attempt at murder backfires into creating a monster, and the reversal — Jerry as the unstoppable aggressor — is one of the best in the series. It is a properly dark premise handled with a very light touch, which is the balance the original unit was better at than anyone.
Tom deliberately poisons the milk, and the transformed Jerry is genuinely menacing.
