Chip an’ Dale
0 views
Donald needs a log for his fire. Unfortunately, the one he picks is occupied by a couple of chipmunks and their stash of acorns. When he cuts it down, Chip and Dale fall out, but their acorns stay behind, so they work at putting out Donald’s fire and retrieving their stash. Donald, of course, takes this as calmly and cheerfully as you would expect.

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Short. It is the short that made Chip and Dale stars — before this they were interchangeable woodland pests, and after it they were a double act with a house style. Donald takes their log for firewood and spends the film losing a war of attrition to two small animals with better tactics, which is the exact shape of every good Donald short.
