Tom is on the canals of Venice, singing opera. He ends up on a cruise ship, where another cat tricks him out of Jerry (who Tom has just caught), then mirrors his every move. Eventually the cats start chasing each other.

A Chuck Jones entry built on a mirror routine — the ancient music-hall gag of two performers imitating each other, which animation can push much further than a stage ever could. The Venetian opening is prettier than the series usually bothered with.
